You are a soul-inspired leader when your actions,
choices and words align with your soul’s purpose.

- Elisabeth Gortschacher, founder World Leadership Day

World Leadership Day is a global, grassroots initiative to inspire, connect and transform leadership thinking across generations, gender and cultures. It is a platform for new leadership to emerge and for disillusioned and burnt out leaders to reconnect with what is truly important and bring meaning, joy and passion back into their lives.

Get inspired by the documentary video, directed and produced by Wilmer A. Gonzales, a nineteen year old student of Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific to celebrate World Leadership Day 2008 - Canada. The video was viewed over six hundred times in the first six weeks it was posted and received national attention when Mr. Gonzalez was interviewed by CBC public radio on World Leadership Day. Mr. Gonzalez, born in Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, was in his final year at the College.

Leaders Today is a world renowned youth leadership organization, delivering innovative local and international training experiences to more than 350,000 youth every year.

“It is hard to escape the feeling that leadership is something that happens to other people. But not to an ordinary bloke like me. That is why I immediately liked the idea of a World Leadership Day. Started in Australia just a year ago, it aims to set a vision for today, a challenge for us to think about what we want to achieve through authentic leadership. To create some ripples that would could affect the rest of the world.” - John Yip, Writer, Singapore

“If there is truth in the saying that the success of an event can be measured by how long the people stayed and networked afterwards, South Africa’s first World Leadership Day was a roaring success.” - Susan Williams, Communications partner, WLD South Africa
